I work with my hands because direct contact with the material is part of the process.

Each piece passes through fire more than once. The glaze does things I don't fully plan: mineral reactions, shadows near the rim, surfaces that shift depending on the light. I keep what the fire decides.

My photography printing works the same way: slow processes, light as material and images that take time to reveal themselves ready to last a lifetime. I work from a studio in Aberdeen, Scotland.
